He was even amazing in this!!
And so begins my Leonardo showcase - I intend over the following however long to review every film he has ever been in and watch them all again and in order and it was just my misfortune that he did not start in the most amazing of films like R&J or Titanic but then I never would get to catch up by seeing where he came from - where did he go? Was he good back then? Was he the same back then? And so on.
There is no big secret in the matter - Leo is my all time favourite actor - pretty much since I saw him in What's Eating Gilbert Grape I have been an obsessed fan
He has done nothing but go from strength to strength and make some of the biggest and best films ever made. I do feel he has gone a wee bit too serious at the moment being so desperate to garner the love of the Academy and win an Oscar but having him team back up with Baz Luhrmann for The Great Gatsby is a master stroke for him because I am certain this is the Oscar wining film for him. Luhrmann is a master of his trade (yes Haters Gonna Hate Australia ) and his way of combining beauty, music and visual splendour are the work of an auteur. Leo needs to chill out from the Clint Eastwood and Martin Scorceses and embrace new talent and make a film where he smiles - why so serious D
