No one would ever think it possible in the Australian film market but the film, like every other record it has broken, has astounded Australian film industry experts with its next HUGE milestone.
For the first time in Australian history in the next 24hrs Avatar will make $100MIL in Australa.
This has NEVER been achieved before and I think it will be years before we see it again.
A Huge congratulations to James Cameron, the entire cast & crew and the entire Australian cinema industry.

Just wanted to let you know I was dead on about the braid thing....Just read the original screen play (what a way to spend a saturday night!) and it actually features in it. I found it funny too, cos after my second viewing I said to my boyfriend, "Hey, wouldnt sex for the Na'vi be sticking braids together?" Guess what, it's very much a part of it! There was also a love story between hot chick pilot...cant remember her name...And geeky Norm Spellman. Backstory on Grace's school. Also a shot at the end of a pregnant Neytiri!
As much as I would have seen these elements in the movie - in the original screenplay Quartich takes command a lot more violently - I can only hope they will be explored in full in the sequels.
As you can see, I've gone Avatar nuts. I used to want a tachicoma. Now I want an Ikran!

I would love an Ikran - and I had to look up a tachikoma - is that the Ghost in the Shell thing?
I do love the ideas from the original script and I do hope they get more in depth next time - I am pretty sure after it's success JC can do whatever the hell he likes.

Wouldnt recommend an Ikran babysitting horses though!
I do have a mini ikran though - my pet mynah bird. 'do not look in her eye' is very good advice.
Painting myself blue and the addition of a tail is being considered.......Supanova's coming.
