Welcome to Salty Popcorn - my site dedicated to expressing my opinion on films. Most of the reviews I read in the paper make me angry that they are either all so negative or I completely disagree with them. So now it's my turn. I hope you enjoy it and if you do sign up for updates on the left hand side. Thanks for stopping in!! Also, be sure to check out my other blogs www.sydneytable.com and http://www.orble.com/total-randomness/ PLEASE NOTE: My scoring of films is now based on an "Out of 10" score. : Good Take on the Popular Viral Video
Category: Interesting
The Worldwide Short Film Festival - held in Toronto at the end of the month - has commissioned three short films inspired by a viral video. "Anyone can upload. Few can direct," their website says. The viral video in question is "Charlie Bit My Finger," where a toddler is surprised when he puts his finger in his baby brother's mouth and gets bitten. The horror version is significantly less cutesy. And here it is

"Charlie Bit My Finger - Again!", more simply known as Charlie Bit My Finger or Charlie Bit Me (referring to a quote in the video), is an Internet viral video famous for formerly being the most viewed YouTube video of all time. As of 14 May 2011 it has over 320 million views, and remains the most viewed YouTube video that is not a professional pop music video. The clip features two English brothers, aged three and one. In the video, the younger brother, Charlie, bites the finger of his older brother, Harry. The boys' father uploaded the video online in May 2007.

A friend Dan showed it to me years ago and if you search for it on You Tube there is only about a million copies of it reimagined by numerous people.

For the record. That picture posted above is in no way connected to the short film remake for the Worldwide short film festival campaign. A Movie Poster was created but that is not it.

Thanks Anonymous - I downloaded the press release from the festival website and scoured through Google images and this is the only image suitable to represent the short film. If there was a poster it is long gone or hiding in the blogosphere - thanks for pointing this out though. If you are connected to the film and can locate more appropriate art work and would like me to display it please forward it on to jkdigitaldesigns@gmail.com and I will post it up.
