Welcome to Salty Popcorn - my site dedicated to expressing my opinion on films. Most of the reviews I read in the paper make me angry that they are either all so negative or I completely disagree with them. So now it's my turn. I hope you enjoy it and if you do sign up for updates on the left hand side. Thanks for stopping in!! Also, be sure to check out my other blogs www.sydneytable.com and http://www.orble.com/total-randomness/ PLEASE NOTE: My scoring of films is now based on an "Out of 10" score. Trailer of the Day: TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON

April 29th 2011 21:31
: LOOKS IMPRESSIVE
Category: Trailers
This week has been an excellent week for trailers, and Paramount finished it off in spectacular fashion by unveiling a brand new trailer for Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Director Michael Bay has been pretty honest about the failures of Revenge of the Fallen and, while this trailer is still big on robots and big on action, it is hoped to be an improvement.

To be honest I am not sold yet - it looks amazing and very impressive but it also looks like an invasion film and they never really hit it as spectacular and personable - the failures of the second. Has Bay again gone for quantity over quality? I hope not. Because I loved that first Transformers film and I want more of that.

Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, and John Turturro will be back for the third outing, with Peter Cullen returning as the voice of Optimus Prime and Hugo Weaving returning as the voice of Megatron. Victoria's Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley will be replacing Megan Fox as the female lead, playing Sam Witwicky's new love interest Carly. Thank god Fox is gone - idiot.

In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. LaBeouf, who admitted he wasn't impressed with the second film, said "there's going to be a lot of death, human death. This time, they're targeting humans," and says "It's going to be the craziest action movie ever made, or we failed."

High hopes and fingers crossed on this one. Releasing the 1st of July this year internationally.

Thanks to Filmonic for trailer and info.
