Welcome to Salty Popcorn - my site dedicated to expressing my opinion on films. Most of the reviews I read in the paper make me angry that they are either all so negative or I completely disagree with them. So now it's my turn. I hope you enjoy it and if you do sign up for updates on the left hand side. Thanks for stopping in!! Also, be sure to check out my other blogs www.sydneytable.com and http://www.orble.com/total-randomness/ PLEASE NOTE: My scoring of films is now based on an "Out of 10" score. Another Trailer of the Day: George A. Romero's Survival of the Dead

: Yay another Horror Flick
Category: No Category
Like its predecessors, George A. Romero Survival of the Dead takes place in a desperate, nightmarish world where the dead walk the earth, relentlessly attacking the living. It is the story of Plum Island – a beautiful refuge whose isolation allows two powerful families to maintain a semblance of order in the wake of the zombie holocaust. But as the inhabitants slowly die off, the two clans become sharply divided: the O'Flynns believe that the undead must be destroyed without exception, while the Muldoons insist that afflicted loved ones be kept "alive" until a cure is found. The result is an escalating showdown with echoes of a classic Western stand-off that erupts in brutality and violence.

George A. Romero's Survival of the Dead

Early reviews coming out of the States are not the best. Everyone was hoping this would be he best work but apparently cast and script bring this film down. Averaging about 6 out of 10 from what I have been reading I am still looking forward to a bit of shock fest and zombie action .

Survival of the Dead

It stars Alan Van Sprang, Kenneth Welsh & Joris Jarsky and is out in the US on May 28 this year - probably in Australia a little later.

I resisted watching the trailer ...
Diary of the Dead was disappointing.
Land of the Dead was pretty good as the unrated Director's Cut on DVD.
Day of the Dead is easily still his best zombie movie, with Night of the Living Dead a close second.
As much as the diehard fans rate Dawn of the Dead, I think that's dated the most (plus the special effects aren't that convincing).

I'm curious Jason, I never thought you were such a dedicated horror fan, since you post more horror trailers than anything else. Call me lazy, but I end up only posting trailers for upcoming horror movies very sporadically. Thanks for doing my dirty work

I don't think I have watched them all yet Bryn.

I like all films - I like being scared in films and it takes a lot but I do love those sneak up things that launch me out of my seat I don't really post more horror - I try for one a day but if three film trailers come out then I will normally post them all if I can.

No worries re doing the dirty work And besides most trailers are better than their film so it is fun watching the trailers before you find out how shit the actual film is hahaha
