Have the owners of Orble disappeared??

June 15th 2012 23:27
: Anyone know the answers?
I have had no response and no verification on an article written in the Writer's Forum from APRIL 24th and have just noticed all writer's forums articles after 2010 are missing. The same article was sent as a letter to support on the same date - again no reply - is Orble running with no one at the helm?

My article and and question also sent to support was to ask why all Google Ads have disappeared off my sites - see below.....

Hey Guys,

It's Jason here from Saltypopcron.com, SydneyTable.com and Total Randomness.

Google ads, adsense, orble, blog owners disappear

My Google Ads money has gone to about 25% of what it used to be even though my readership has increased significantly.

I can notice that there is spaces in all my articles however there is no ads in them and just blank sections.

Can you provide any advice as to why this would be the case and what I can I do to rectify?

Kind Regards
JK

I've been asking the same question since LAST summer. I think the bus is driving itself.

Not only is it driving itself but I think it is driving backwards. Same problems with Google, Jason, I no longer expect much but I think I'll have to hang around for another 6 months to get my next $150, when I think I shall take a break, there are others rushing to replace me, anyway.

Thanks for your openness and honesty.

Keep up the good work chum, love the design of this site.

It's getting a tad annoying Katyzzzzzzzzz - I am wondering if one day Orble will not be there and everything I have written for 4yrs will just disappear. I might look into the possibility of somehow downloading my site and storing it somewhere
I didn't blog for the money but damn it was a nice surprise bit of pocket money.
Hopefully someone that runs the place and keeps the servers running will one day soon pull their head out and start running the site again. Maybe it will be given to us to run it
Thanks for the nice words and good work yourself - it is nice to see a few familiar names still around

Jason--

Just noticed your June 18 comment about finding a way to download your whole blog in case Orble disappears. If you figure out how to do that, will you share it here?

I've tried to contact the site admins again since I commented here last, but still without any response.

Hey Dan
Try this page:
Really Long Link
I haven't tried it but have it downloaded.
I do think Orble is dying - collective readership is down hugely and site admin only appears on the odd occasion when people jump up and down screaming.
If you try the program above before me let me know how you go - I will do the same.
Regards
JK

Jason, sorry for the delay but I never saw any notification from Orble that you'd replied.
I tried the link you suggested, but it looks like it only works with Blogger blogs. Still looking for a solution to the safe offloading of all my Orble stuff because I haven't seen any improvement in their admin of the site.

Not sure I can help Dan - you will have to do the Google searching
I have bought all the .com.au versions of my sites, bought a server and am setting up all the sites with new designs on their own without a network. I will then begin the pain of transferring the articles I want to keep one at a time - not going to be fun when Salty Popcorn alone has 1060 articles

Yeah, I've been Googling away for a while but haven't come up with anything yet.
I may just move future efforts to Blogger, but I'd hate to lose everything here if Orble goes down.
By the way, congrats on 5 years. That's an accomplishment and a display of determination. 1000 articles in 5 years is - what? - 200 a year, so 4 a week, right? I'm 2 1/2 years into Rootless, but at a much lower density and frequency.
