Welcome to Salty Popcorn - my site dedicated to expressing my opinion on films. Most of the reviews I read in the paper make me angry that they are either all so negative or I completely disagree with them. So now it's my turn. I hope you enjoy it and if you do sign up for updates on the left hand side. Thanks for stopping in!! Also, be sure to check out my other blogs www.sydneytable.com and http://www.orble.com/total-randomness/ PLEASE NOTE: My scoring of films is now based on an "Out of 10" score. WOW - I have goosebumps - I cannot wait to see this film now. A lot of people were claiming this would be an epic fail - I say denied - it looks brilliant.

Green Lantern, Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Peter Sarsgaard

In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan.

We both watched it twice. Wow. Futuristic - perhaps similar to Avatar in a certain theme. Green verses the Blue. And I like this actor much better. K

I knew you guys would like this ma. The only similarity I can see with Avatar is the use of a colour for a race of people - in this case green - in Avatars blue. But it does look brilliant and he does have much more personality than Sam Worthington.
