WOW - I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo excited. Andrew Niccol has written and directed some amazingly superb films. Let's just say Gattaca and I am happy but then throw in Lord of War and I get really excited so it is with great joy he returns to his Gattaca style for this new film IN TIME prior to releasing his version of Korea's THE HOST sic fi Alien film (the original of this is brilliant and with Niccol on board I think they remake will be even better.
In Time presents a world where time has become the ultimate currency. You stop aging at 25, but there's a catch: you're genetically-engineered to live only one more year, unless you can buy your way out of it. The rich "earn" decades at a time (remaining at age 25), becoming essentially immortal, while the rest beg, borrow or steal enough hours to make it through the day. When a man from the wrong side of the tracks is falsely accused of murder, he is forced to go on the run with a beautiful hostage. Living minute to minute, the duo's love becomes a powerful tool in their war against the system. This looks like an original concept and then you throw in some of the hottest guys on the planet and write a superb looking conceptual script and the film has got me salivating.
Firstly, I did not even recognise Amanda Seyfried, then there is the lead JT, Justin Timberlake continuing his astronomical rise, then my have it guy on the rise Alex Pettyfer (LOVE HIM), Johhny Galecki, Cillian Murphy, and super spunky Matt Bomer from White Collar.
This version of the trailer was released at Comic con and is extremely long and disappointingly shows too much of the film, but at the same time gets me very excited for its release this coming October. Bring it on!!
