Welcome to Salty Popcorn - my site dedicated to expressing my opinion on films. Most of the reviews I read in the paper make me angry that they are either all so negative or I completely disagree with them. So now it's my turn. I hope you enjoy it and if you do sign up for updates on the left hand side. Thanks for stopping in!! Also, be sure to check out my other blogs www.sydneytable.com and http://www.orble.com/total-randomness/ PLEASE NOTE: My scoring of films is now based on an "Out of 10" score. The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed. Carl Jung (1875 - 1961)

Trailer of the Day, the month even: INCEPTION

: LOVE YOU LEO
Category: No Category
It is no secret that Leo is my favourite actor of all time and Chris Nolan is a superb film maker, as his latest versions of Batman have indicated. Combining the two in a film with a new concept is something that gets me VERY excited.

Inception Poster, Leo Dicaprio, Christopher Noaln, Ellen Page

This film look insanely awesome and I CAN NOT WAIT. I think a few people may not enjoy it as it could be out of their depths in grasping the plot. But for those that like something new and and semi fantastical with an edge of a bit of sci fi then get prepped for a brilliant film.

It looks good, Leo always looks good and it will be good to see Ellen Page (Juno) in a serious film that may have a few less smart ass one liners.

Acclaimed filmmaker Christopher Nolan directs an international cast in an original sci-fi actioner that travels around the globe and into the intimate and infinite world of dreams. Dom Cobb (Leonardo DiCaprio) is a skilled thief, the absolute best in the dangerous art of extraction, stealing valuable secrets from deep within the subconscious during the dream state, when the mind is at its most vulnerable. Cobb's rare ability has made him a coveted player in this treacherous new world of corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive and cost him everything he has ever loved. Now Cobb is being offered a chance at redemption. One last job could give him his life back but only if he can accomplish the impossible - inception. Instead of the perfect heist, Cobb and his team of specialists have to pull off the reverse: their task is not to steal an idea but to plant one. If they succeed, it could be the perfect crime. But no amount of careful planning or expertise can prepare the team for the dangerous enemy that seems to predict their every move. An enemy that only Cobb could have seen coming. This summer (in the US) and winter (in Australia), your mind is the scene of the crime.

Leo is not only a great actor but he's a "smart" one. I love the fact that when I see his movies, I'm focused on him and his character and there is not the added "white noise" of his personal life ruining the movie for me. He has carefully avoided having his personal life plastered across the tabloids and fights to keep his life as private as possible for that very reasons and it does make a huge difference. Thank goodness someone takes his career seriously.

Looks amazing Ma - cannot wait at all and I completely agree - matured magnificently

Deni - superbly said and not only has he kept his life removed from the press he has also kept his film choices extremely smart - he chooses films, directors and roles that are beneficial to him and they always have an amazing director. He totally rocks

Rix - agreed!!
