Scariest horror of the last few years
Category: Interesting
Yet another of my articles and giveaways that has been weeks in the making. I do apologise again for my being overwhelmed with my new job. I have been working six days a week and sometimes up to 13hrs a day. I had to cancel the first date I have had since I was a teenager and my life is a disaster movie in the making. But while away and staying in a hotel in the lovely town of Newcastle (well just outside in Charlestown) I have a few hours break before bed and thought I could quickly catch up on some blogging (and hopefully sending an apology letter worthy of a date reschedule - sorry sorry sorry Rob if you are reading
).
But thanks to the lovely people at ICON Home Entertainment I have a crapload of Blu Rays and DVDs to giveaway starting with the insanely awesome and scary INSIDIOUS.
Saw franchise veterans James Wan and Leigh Whannell team with Paranormal Activity writer/director Oren Peli to give the familiar haunted house story an exciting new twist with this tale of a family that moves into an old house and begins to suspect they are under siege from otherworldly forces when their young son inexplicably falls into a deep coma. As devoted parents Josh (Patrick Wilson) and Renai (Rose Byrne) struggle in vain to uncover the root cause of their son's condition, the stress of the situation gradually begins to take its toll on their once-strong relationship. Later, when darkness falls and specters appear to reach out for them from the shadows, the frightened parents realize they're dealing with powers beyond human comprehension.
This is honestly one of the best haunted house films I have ever seen - I just LOVED it, it gets a little over the top and loses it a little towards the end but I could live with it. It scared the shit out of me and I had to sit watching it side on as I needed to watch the front door while I was watching it
Definitely the best horror film in the last few years and I recommend it as a first date night film - at least your date will end up in your arms hahahaha
Now to win one of three copies of this film on BLU RAY email me at jkdigitaldesigns@gmail.com with your delivery details and the answer to the following question - WHAT IS YOUR FAVE HORROR FILM AND WHY?
Please note this is a BLU RAY and will not play on a DVD player - and apologies but this comp is only valid to Australian residents.
See the trailer below and good luck!!
