Leigh Whannell and James Wan are best known for creating the insanely profitable and popular SAW franchise and their latest film is no doubt hoping to be the next big thing in horror. This one also has a good cast. Rose Byrne and Patrick Wilson plus little youngster Ty Simpkons who has already starred in Little Children, Revolutionary Road, War of the Worlds and upcoming The Next 3 Days to name a few.
When proud parents take possession of an old house to build a nest for their family, an accident results in one of their sons falling into a coma. The tragedy doesn't stop there when they are beset by vengeful spirits from another realm.

Saw 1 was great and the rest are pretty crap. I have fingers crossed for a good modern horror every time I see one but like yourself we are left disappointed many times.
