The trailer for Into Great Silence which will make its Premiere at the 2010 Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival.
Into Great Silence is the first film ever made chronicling life inside the Grande Chartreuse, nestled deep in the stunning French Alps. Founded in 1084, it is considered one of the world's most ascetic monasteries and home to the Catholic Church's strictest order. Here the monks dedicate themselves entirely to the service of God and to spiritual life- in permanent silence. One of the most mesmerizing and poetic chronicles of spirituality ever created, this film is a rare, transformative experience for all.
It does say it will premiere at the Hot Docs but at the end of the trailer it states that it has won five awards already. Official Selection for Venice, Winner Euro Film Academy, Winner Sundance and so on...... Maybe this means it's public premiere? Anyways it looks very interesting. To me it will be like watching an Enigma film clip
I do not understand but respect people of great faith, discipline and dedication to an unknown entity.
