Welcome to Salty Popcorn - my site dedicated to expressing my opinion on films. Most of the reviews I read in the paper make me angry that they are either all so negative or I completely disagree with them. So now it's my turn. I hope you enjoy it and if you do sign up for updates on the left hand side. Thanks for stopping in!! Also, be sure to check out my other blogs www.sydneytable.com and http://www.orble.com/total-randomness/ PLEASE NOTE: My scoring of films is now based on an "Out of 10" score. The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed. Carl Jung (1875 - 1961)

For some reason this makes me think of what would happen if George Costanza had to live his whole life with his ma. I think my mum and I would eventually kill each other if forced to live together for this long But these guys seem to make it work.

Junior Movie, Jenna Rosher

Junior is Eddie Belasco, a 75-year-old Italian American who seems to have jumped from the pages of a Scorsese script. Except he lives with his 98 year old mother, Josephine. Luckily, their senses of humor match their levels of irritability. Together they fight and laugh in equal measures as the difficulties of aging and living in a changing neighborhood catch up with them. Eddie was always one to love the limelight, trying his hand at acting and managing topless female rock bands but now runs a non-profit theatre group for young people. In the meantime, the spotlight is squarely on Josephine with local press running to her, as she finally gets her high school diploma. Director Jenna Rosher deftly captures the bond between this odd couple and crafts a hilarious and touching portrait of growing old while staying young.

I do not know the release date and am pretty confident we will either be waiting for DVD in Australia or trekking to a Palace or Dendy Cinema.
