Jaden Smith Rocks

Ok - this is a HUGE rip off remake that was originally known as The Kung Fu Kid but in the end they just caved and created a remake of the original and gave it the same name.
To me this film looks good and I love Jaden Smith thanks to him making me cry in Pursuit of Happyness but in this I just think he looks too young, but then again this is probably because of my comparison to the original. This films also looks a lot more slick than the originals, with a budget probably equaling all previous KK films. Can they do it? Can Jackie Chan be Mr Miyagi?? I don't know. But I am willing to give it a shot. There is a funny payout of the original at the end of the trailer and the only thing that will work with this film is if Jackie Chan does not play a comedian but a serious guy who can be funny. Also, their bond and trust is paramount!! If this fails then the film goes down the drain.
Set in an exotic Asian locale, the new film borrows many elements of the original plot, wherein a bullied youth (Smith) learns to stand up for himself with the help of an eccentric mentor (Chan). I hope this film goes ok - I know a lot of people probably think Jaden is in films thanks to big daddy Will but I think he deserves merit for himself as he was great in Pursuit of Happyness, admittedly working with his dad, then he was pretty lame in The Day the Earth Stood Still, but was anything good in that film?
