Bahahahahahahahahahaha.
I get a 7am text from Big Geoff from Cinefools.com - "before you go to work make sure you watch the Muppets trailer. Best trailer this year".
I start thinking he is going a little bit nuts. I had the explanation all worked out - Geff and his wife have just had a baby - he has gone diaper crazy and now only likes kids films and so on. I told him I would have a look after my 8k morning power walk - have a look at the scenery at the beach this morning - sensational!
Anyway - I just watched it and while it doesn't feel like trailer of the year to me, that for me is a toss up between Super 8 or HP7#2, it does look bloody awesome! I wish that The Smurfs had gone this way as opposed to the crap that trailer looks like.
The Muppets is starring Jason Segel, Amy Adams and Chris Cooper. It is being directed by James Bobin who is well known for his writing on Da Ali G Show and The Flight of the Concords and the film is written by the star himself, Jason Segel, who is best known for How I Met Your Mother. Great combo and looking forward to this fun family favourite. Coming out November 23 this year!!
