Welcome to Salty Popcorn - my site dedicated to expressing my opinion on films. Most of the reviews I read in the paper make me angry that they are either all so negative or I completely disagree with them. So now it's my turn. I hope you enjoy it and if you do sign up for updates on the left hand side. Thanks for stopping in!! Also, be sure to check out my other blogs www.sydneytable.com and http://www.orble.com/total-randomness/ PLEASE NOTE: My scoring of films is now based on an "Out of 10" score. Trailer of the Day: The Three Musketeers 3D

: Looks Visually Stunning but that's about it!
Category: Trailers
The hot-headed young D'Artagnan (Logan Lerman) joins forces with three rogue Musketeers (Matthew MacFadyen, Luke Evans and Ray Stevenson) in this reboot of Alexandre Dumas' story. They must stop the evil Richlieu (Christoph Waltz) and face off with Buckingham (Orlando Bloom) and the treacherous Milady (Milla Jovovich).

Visually this film looks spectacular with some great visuals more evident in the second half of the trailer. I really like Logan Lerman after he was pretty much the only good thing from Percy Jackson was massacred in it's film transfer. It is great to see Orlando Bloom doing a lot more films and Christopher Waltz is milking it big time. He is good but he is in pretty much every film that comes out these days

But - the actual Three Musketeers in the trailer look as boring as batshit - I absolutely loved the 3 Musketeers of Charlie Sheen, Kiefer Sutherland and the amazing Oliver Platt It was such a fun Disney version and at the time it was non stop action, fun and adventure for me. I know some film lovers will probably loathe it and mention some black and white version as being the best but I don't care - the Disney one did it for me. Hey - it had Charlie Sheen in it so it is WINNING

This version directed by Paul W.S. Anderson (Death Race, Resident Evils, AVP, Pandora) looks like it may have a serious B Grade popcorn munching feel to it based on Anderson's other films. It also manages to have his wifey Milla Jovovich in it (so that's how she keeps making Resident Evil films!). It is releasing on October 13th 2011.
