Everyone meet Troy!
This was probably the main reason I have not been online much of late. For the first week of my holidays my fabbo neighbors went away and asked me to house and pup sit. The pup belongs to awesome 6yr old Finn who basically worships the ground these four little paws walk on so I knew I had a big responsibility. If I screwed this up I would have to leave the state and avoid the wrath of a young angered child who can outscream me tenfold.
I love dogs - I have always been a dog person although I have a cat - I bought this cat for a flatmate I once upon a time loved, still love u Garthey (lol) who 6 months after I bought the cat for him decided to do the overseas travel thing. That was over 7yrs ago and he is now married and living in Argentina. But suffice to say me and my super cat Dark have bonded and become close mates since 2000. Cats are cool calm collected obsessive compulsive selfish freaks. But they take care of themselves and are hassle free.
Troy is basically a 3yr old child (half pup, half pinscher) and required constant attention and what blew me away was how much I actually loved it. I was woken every morning at 6am or earlier, then made to walk about 5-10k's. As long as he walked me somewhere that sold coffee I would not argue. I then spent the day at the neighbors house entertaining or was it being entertained with Troy. He knew how to shake and sit and my parting words from my neighbor was "We expect him to be able to walk on two legs by the time we get back" - and guess what - he nailed it in 2 days. LOL. He also had the amazing talent of humping anything with or without a pulse. His new trick is lying on his stomach and sliding himself along the gravel - go figure the joy in that, not even as a young teen did I get that desire!
Well Troy is now handed back to the owners and my pup napping plans are in motion but I have to move country. I have been granted visitation access and possible walking privileges.
Miss You Troy! On the plus side, Dark is now talking to me again and has stopped sharpening claws in front of me.
I swear he is laughing at me in this pic!
