Welcome to Salty Popcorn - my site dedicated to expressing my opinion on films. Most of the reviews I read in the paper make me angry that they are either all so negative or I completely disagree with them. So now it's my turn. I hope you enjoy it and if you do sign up for updates on the left hand side. Thanks for stopping in!! Also, be sure to check out my other blogs www.sydneytable.com and http://www.orble.com/total-randomness/ PLEASE NOTE: My scoring of films is now based on an "Out of 10" score. Trailer of the Day: Full Length CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER

: LOOKS PRETTY GOOD
Category: Trailers
Lucy and Edmund Pevensie return to Narnia with their cousin Eustace where they meet up with Prince Caspian for a trip across the sea aboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader. Along the way they encounter dragons, dwarves, merfolk, and a band of lost warriors before reaching the edge of the world.

Michael Apted, Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, Ben Barnes

So the trailer looks good, in fact it looks like the best trailer for the series so far - this is the US feature trailer - I actually prefer the Australian feature trailer which, of course, I cannot locate.

Michael Apted, Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, Ben Barnes

There is something about the Narnia films that bugs me. The stories are great but I think they failed by maintaining the kids as these glossy innocents. They needed to modernise and improve for the current generation and get away from the fluffiness of the books - think LOTR.

Michael Apted, Georgie Henley, Skandar Keynes, Ben Barnes

The stories are brilliant but no matter how much they spend on the films they still look like some BBC Mini series - a lot of the issue for me I think was the older blonde haired brother - he just was no leader and him fighting with a sword always made me laugh - Edmond has a bit a more strength and weakness which comes across better on film and, of course, any film with Ben Barnes in it is improved .

Anyway - I will reserve judgement on this one until it releases on December 9th in 3D.

The children have grown. Lucy near on a woman and Edmund maturing. So much action - great new creatures. The list 'must see' movies is growing. K

Haven't been a huge fan of the films mum but this definitely looks the best of the lot so far.
