Trailer of the Day: Full Length CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER

LOOKS PRETTY GOOD
Category: Trailers
Lucy and Edmund Pevensie return to Narnia with their cousin Eustace where they meet up with Prince Caspian for a trip across the sea aboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader. Along the way they encounter dragons, dwarves, merfolk, and a band of lost warriors before reaching the edge of the world.
So the trailer looks good, in fact it looks like the best trailer for the series so far - this is the US feature trailer - I actually prefer the Australian feature trailer which, of course, I cannot locate.
There is something about the Narnia films that bugs me. The stories are great but I think they failed by maintaining the kids as these glossy innocents. They needed to modernise and improve for the current generation and get away from the fluffiness of the books - think LOTR.
The stories are brilliant but no matter how much they spend on the films they still look like some BBC Mini series - a lot of the issue for me I think was the older blonde haired brother - he just was no leader and him fighting with a sword always made me laugh - Edmond has a bit a more strength and weakness which comes across better on film and, of course, any film with Ben Barnes in it is improved
.
Anyway - I will reserve judgement on this one until it releases on December 9th in 3D.
