Here is the latest trailer for Piranha - I am actually looking forward to some slaughter action.
Every year the population of sleepy Lake Victoria explodes from 5,000 to 50,000 for Spring Break; a riot of sun and drunken fun. But this year, there's something more to worry about than hangovers and complaints from local old timers; A new type of terror is about to be cut loose on Lake Victoria. After a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric man-eating fish, an unlikely group of strangers must band together to stop themselves from becoming fish food for the area's new razor-toothed residents.
I posted the other trailer about a week ago and you can view it HERE
I have since found out this is a remake (pretty much) of a 1978 film of the same name.

I don't like the piranha design, looks more alien than prehistoric, the normal looking piranha are scary enough cos they looks kinda ordinary, cept for their nasty teeth and wicked eyes.
There's too much CGI by the look as well. Obviously all the fish are CGI-ed and that doesn't bode well, but then, how else they gonna do it? The original used real piranha footage, combined with suggestion.
I hope Aja shows some serious gore. That's what it needs. Otherwise it'll be lame. Some Spring Break female nudity will work a treat too. Hey, it's trash, best embrace it!

I've never seen the original but my prediction is that someone sacrifices himself and lure the Piranha in some cave that's rigged with a bunch of explosives and they nuke it all, killing everything - however, there's always one piranha that doesn't fall for such juvenile tactics and she with her impregnated self get away! At the end you see the fish charge the screen revealing ferocious teeth! Well it's in 3D, it's gotta end that way.
Any wagers?
I think I'll pass on this one. I like my horror more realistic and not too CGI'd.

I agree with Sammy (Rix) that it will be more comedic than a thriller. This is what I am looking forward to
Cinema Herald - I have been trying to comment on some of your recent posts. Is there a glitch or do you not allow comments. Some of your posts have been great but can't seem to let you know that on the individual posts. I completely agree with your ending prediction by the way, spot on I think. Then we can have Piranha 2 and 3 and so on lol.

I'm still rather new to this. I have since tinkered with the control panel and I think it's okay to post comments now. Thanks a bunches and i enjoy your work.
