LOVE YOU ANGELINA

Angelina Jolie is one of two ladies I would return to the light side for. The other is Sigourney - well Ripley really
I can't explain it but she is timeless to me and so diverse in her acting abilities. I feel she picks her roles so well going from action film to Oscar worthy performance year on year. It is such a smart way to work in Hollywood should that opportunity present itself. Do one you love and then do one that will keep you getting hired. I used to consider her the female Leonardo DiCaprio - however Leo is losing it with his obsession to garner an Oscar himself and while I believe he has deserved one since "What's Eating Gilbert Grape?" this obsession with Scorsese is getting creepy. I want him doing a romantic comedy. He does not make movies anymore where he smiles. Annoying. I want a lustful, Leo is HOT, movie. But I am going way off track - this is about my female acting LOVER, Angelina.
With the film originally scripted for Tom Cruise playing the title character, he stupidly backed out and the script was rewritten with a female lead and Angelina Jolie took the role. Tom is slowly becoming an idiot. Mission Impossible roles are his saviour and this has the action, intrigue and espionage thriller written all over it.
As a CIA officer, Evelyn Salt (Angelina Jolie) swore an oath to duty, honor and country. Her loyalty will be tested when a defector accuses her of being a Russian spy. Salt goes on the run, using all her skills and years of experience as a covert operative to elude capture. Salt's efforts to prove her innocence only serve to cast doubt on her motives, as the hunt to uncover the truth behind her identity continues and the question remains: "Who is Salt?"
The film is directed by Aussie, Phillip Noyce, who is a master of thrillers having made films like Dead Calm, Patriot Games, The Bone Collector (with Jolie), Clear and Present Danger and The Rabbit Proof Fence. Micheal Mann was originally set to direct but then Tom was set to act
In this one Jolie does nearly all of her own stunts - how can anyone not love her?? The screenplay is being written by Kurt Wimmer (The Thomas Crown Affair and the upcoming remake of Total Recall) and Brian Helgeland (LA Confidential, Mystic River, Cirque de Freak and the upcoming Robin Hood - to name a few) so I have faith that this will be a great edge of your seat thriller with Jolie keeping us all glued to the seat. Think Bourne movie with a hotter star
This will be releasing in August 2010 - that is way too long to wait - not fair!!
