Welcome to Salty Popcorn - my site dedicated to expressing my opinion on films. Most of the reviews I read in the paper make me angry that they are either all so negative or I completely disagree with them. So now it's my turn. I hope you enjoy it and if you do sign up for updates on the left hand side. Thanks for stopping in!! Also, be sure to check out my other blogs www.sydneytable.com and http://www.orble.com/total-randomness/ PLEASE NOTE: My scoring of films is now based on an "Out of 10" score. Trailer of the Day: My Soul to Take by Wes Craven

Wes Craven is back in an endeavour to redeem himself with his more recent crap I am not sure if this is any better or worse than recent fair and it looks very very similar to a lot of other horror films. Said bad guy was killed numerous years ago but comes back on an anniversary. The day or year he died 7 children were born. Heard this before?

Wes Craven, Max Thieriot, John Magaro, Emily Meade

In the sleepy town of Riverton, legend tells of a serial killer who swore he would return to murder the seven children born the night he died. Now, 16 years later, people are disappearing again. Has the psychopath been reincarnated as one of the seven teens, or did he survive the night he was left for dead? Only one of the kids knows the answer...

It is directed by one of the fathers of modern horror so it could possibly be good, my only concern is that a lot of his recent films have kind of been shit. I do like the lead actor, Max Thieriot, he played the younger Hayden Christensen in Jumper and had a good screen presence. He was also in the recent Chloe that I am yet to see. At least it will be a predictable horror that teenagers will love to watch. Releasing on October.
