Welcome to Salty Popcorn - my site dedicated to expressing my opinion on films. Most of the reviews I read in the paper make me angry that they are either all so negative or I completely disagree with them. So now it's my turn. I may also throw in the odd post of whatever the hell I like. I hope you enjoy it and if you do sign up for updates on the left hand side. Thanks for stopping in!! PLEASE NOTE: I rate my films different from the standard 5 star approach. As I work in the cinema industry I am aware that the most expensive general admission ticket is $16.50. My rating of a film is based on what I think the ticket is worth in a dollar amount up to $16.50 (a perfect film). If I think a film is worth about $5- it's probably not worth watching in my opinion. YYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY YYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!
As you can prob tell I am a bit of a fan. Now most of this article is copied because it relates all the news better than I can so thanks to:

"Dark Horizons reports that director Bryan Singer has confirmed that work is under way on a sequel to “Superman Returns” (2006).

Despite the film’s near $400 million haul, “Superman Returns” remains seen as a disappointment both critically and financially. The former due to various story and casting issues, the later due to its massive budget and small final tally in comparison to “Spider-Man” and Singer’s own “X-Men” films.

One of the more criticised aspects of the first film was the script. It’s been previously reported that original scribes Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris are no longer involved in the sequel, and yesterday word came that “Transformers“ scribes Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman will be penning the screenplay.

Singer plans to address the story problems it seems - “The first one was a romantic film and a nostalgic film. I’ll be the first person to own up to that without making any apologies for it. I knew it was going to be that from the outset. And now that the characters are established, there’s really an opportunity to up the threat levels…Clearly there’ll be a body count [laughs]. From frame one, it will be unrelenting terror! All those teenage girls who found the movie and mooned over James Marsden or Brandon Routh? Well, I’m going to wake them up!“"
