Welcome to Salty Popcorn - my site dedicated to expressing my opinion on films. Most of the reviews I read in the paper make me angry that they are either all so negative or I completely disagree with them. So now it's my turn. I may also throw in the odd post of whatever the hell I like. I hope you enjoy it and if you do sign up for updates on the left hand side. Thanks for stopping in!! PLEASE NOTE: I rate my films different from the standard 5 star approach. As I work in the cinema industry I am aware that the most expensive general admission ticket is $16.50. My rating of a film is based on what I think the ticket is worth in a dollar amount up to $16.50 (a perfect film). If I think a film is worth about $5- it's probably not worth watching in my opinion. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button TRAILER

July 3rd 2008 06:16
As requested by my fabulous friend Vez......

The Curious Case of Benjamin Button is a 2008 film loosely adapted from the 1922 short story "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" written by F. Scott Fitzgerald. The film is directed by David Fincher, and stars Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett. The film will be released December 19, 2008. In the early 20th century, 80 year old Benjamin Button (Brad Pitt), is born aging backwards (he was an old man as a baby and vice versa), causing complications when he falls in love with a 30 year old woman (Cate Blanchett). Director David Fincher said "It's dark, it's romantic, and it also deals with mortality in a pretty unflattering way. Button is born in 1919 - with the film itself beginning in World War I, traveling around the world and carrying on all the way through to the year 2000."

This is the trailer for the much anticipated film, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, starring Brad Pitt and Cate Blanchett.

Cate Blanchett rarely has a miss in my view but if it weren't for her this would seem way too creepy for me.

I cannot wait for this movie, what a wonderfully unique story. I had this dream the other night about it, just came out of no where. You have to promise me a special vez screening. Why oh why is it July!

Definately always look forward to a new Fincher film. He's made two genuine masterpieces, and both had Brad Pitt in them. Is it too much to hope for a third one?
