Sam Worthington will star with Helen Mirren in Debt, the John Madden-directed action film for Miramax.
Worthington and Mirren play Israeli Mossad agents hunting a Nazi war criminal. The film is an English-language remake of the Israeli thriller Ha-hov.
In 1965, three young Israeli Mossad agents on a secret mission capture and kill a notorious Nazi war criminal. Now, thirty years later, a man claiming to be the Nazi has surfaced in Ukraine and one of the former agents must go back undercover to seek out the truth.
The redo is a co-production with Marv Films, the U.K.-based company run by Matthew Vaughn and Kris Thykier. Vaughn wrote the script with Jane Goldman.
I have my fingers crossed and this one will prove whether Worthington is capable of good acting. Sink or swim time buddy! This releases on Dec 29 this year. Have a great day!
