Based on the acclaimed novel by Julia Leigh, THE HUNTER is a powerful psychological drama that tells the story of Martin (Willem Dafoe), a mercenary sent from Europe by a mysterious biotech company to the Tasmanian wilderness on a dramatic hunt for the last Tasmanian Tiger.
I can't wait for this - it is coming out Thursday 6th October and it looks so well made. It is riding on the huge success of international film festivals and is directed by Daniel Nettheim who has directed abundant TV shows and more recently episodes of the TV show RUSH. Love that show! It is produced by the people who released Animal Kingdom, which is one of the most locally awarded films in Australian history. BRING IT ON!! And let's not forget the massive cast of Willem Defoe, Sam Neill and Frances O'Connor.
