Trailer of the Day: THOR plus poster

:
Finally Released Officially
Category: Trailers
The powerful but arrogant warrior Thor is cast out of the fantastic realm of Asgard and sent to live amongst humans on Earth, where he soon becomes one of their finest defenders.
The trailer was released at Comic Con and is a long one. It shows some damn fine footage of what could be a pretty decent film. It was leaked ffrom Comic con, when I originally posted it but what followed was a race to keep finding a copy before it got taken down. But now this one is official
.
I am very proud to say Australia's own Chris Hemsworth, whom I loved in the opening 5mins of Star Trek, is playing Thor. He looks awesome and actually bulked up too much and had to lose some weight in the end to play the part. There is also Anthony Hopkins and Natalie Portman starring in the film. You will also see quite a few tie ins for the other Marvel comics as Thor will be joining The Avengers. Looks good and out next year, 2011, May.

I do love me some Norse action but that trailer frightened me away.
I haven't read the comic since i was a kid so I'm not sure how right they got the tone.
Pretty FX though.

I really like how they go to Thor's world and it is being made very similar to the Iron Mans - I can't see it being hideous although a few ppl not too happy on Chris Hemsworth - I like him so have some faith.
Thanks for reading and watching

Ian - Hopkins is good - as long as he acts and doesn't play Hopkins. He was a grumpy man on the set and exploded a few times because of overuse of green or blue screen. It's a bit hard to recreate Valhalla though
