Welcome to Salty Popcorn - my site dedicated to expressing my opinion on films. Most of the reviews I read in the paper make me angry that they are either all so negative or I completely disagree with them. So now it's my turn. I hope you enjoy it and if you do sign up for updates on the left hand side. Thanks for stopping in!! Also, be sure to check out my other blogs www.sydneytable.com and http://www.orble.com/total-randomness/ PLEASE NOTE: My scoring of films is now based on an "Out of 10" score. Tron Legacy Full Length Trailer is Released

Dave managed to attend the screening release on Sunday of Tron Legacy. Not too many people were very excited about being invited to a premiere release of the trailer at Imax Darling Harbour to find out they were invited to a premiere that ran for 2minutes and 57 secs. There were a few annoyed people at being woken up for a screening on the morning after Mardi Gras. Unfortunately I could not attend as my staff are all sick and I had to work.

Rotten Tomatoes describes the trailer below:

The new trailer gives more of a sense of the film's story, we see Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund) get drawn into the search for his missing dad (Jeff Bridges) - who's seen here in what appears to be a CGI younger version and as the older guy we'll no doubt meet in the movie. Then there's an eclectic montage of cool images: cyber-babes, cycle racing, the appearance of the original Tron arcade game, and one especially weird shot of a guy sporting an electric white mullet and playing what might be a keyboard guitar - the entire soundtrack, lest we forget, is being done by French synth rockers Daft Punk. Woot, love Daft Punk.

There was a real sense of the scope and design of the film, which looks to have stayed true to the original's minimal graphics while using that style as a basis for its updated visual sheen. The light-cycle racing is the highlight, especially viewed in 3-D IMAX and set to an extremely loud sound mix.

Huge thanks to Salty's best film buddies, the guys at Cinefools, who could not attend and invited us in their stead. I have attached the original teaser trailer if you haven't already seen it and will post the latest full length one once Disney makes it available. Thanks to Dave for viewing it on Sunday morning - he loved it .

It should be noted that the new full length trailer should be releasing with 35mm and dig prints of Alice in Wonderland this Thursday 4th March.
