Gordon Gecko is Back!!!
Category: No Category
I have my fingers crossed on this one - the first is a brilliant film and this one needs to match. I think they have done really well using Shia - he is an incredible young actor and can do this film justice. It is a Fox film though and they have been making lots of crap lately - Avatar excluded. But one film can't make up for the atrociousness of their recent productions. I hope this is leading them back into good territory.
Shia LaBeouf stars with Michael Douglas, who'll reprise his Gordon Gekko role. Langella will play Lewis Zabel, an old-time broker who mentors LaBeouf's character, a young Wall Street broker.
When Gekko comes out of prison, he essentially has to redefine himself, redefine his character, he's looking for that second chance.
LaBeouf portrays Jake Moore, who is the fiance of Gekko's daughter, played by Carey Mulligan; Josh Brolin as the head of an investment bank; and Susan Sarandon as Jake's mother. Charlie Sheen, who played the central role of Bud Fox, a young trader, in the original, will make a cameo in the sequel. The cast is impressive - bring it on I say!!!

PS: the 20-year-old mobile phone he collects on release of prison is more of a brick than I ever remember phones really were

The brick was a mobile (cell) phone that could call anywhere in the world - I think it was like our current Sattelite Phones and it was the same one from the first film. My stepdad had a car phone that was about that size with a battery the size of a shoebox
