Welcome to Salty Popcorn - my site dedicated to expressing my opinion on films. Most of the reviews I read in the paper make me angry that they are either all so negative or I completely disagree with them. So now it's my turn. I hope you enjoy it and if you do sign up for updates on the left hand side. Thanks for stopping in!! Also, be sure to check out my other blogs www.sydneytable.com and http://www.orble.com/total-randomness/ PLEASE NOTE: My scoring of films is now based on an "Out of 10" score. Season of the Witch TRAILER

: NICHOLAS CAGE ANNOYS ME
Category: No Category
When two knights (Nicolas Cage, Ron Perlman) return from the Crusades, they find their homeland ravaged by the Black Plague. The church blames the plague on sorcery, and orders the knights to escort an accused witch (Claire Foy) to a remote abbey , where monks will perform a ritual that they hope will put an end to the pestilence. When they arrive, the knights make a horrific discovery that pits them against a powerful and destructive force.

This could go either way, on one hand it looks like a fairly decent B grade horror flick and then on the other hand Nicholas Cage is starring and of late he has done nothing but pure celluloid shit. I will watch it and make my judgement then but I fear for any film that has Cage in it.

The film is being dirtected by Dominic Sena who has done some OK stuff, Gone in 60 Seconds, Kalifornia, Swordfish but all of them are wanky beefed up films that are slightly over the top. HIs most recent film Whiteout was pulled from cinema release just weeks prior to said release after it totally bombed in the US. Another reason to worry slightly about this film. This one is not due out until March 2010 although rumors have it test screenings have already been held in the US. Maybe they did not go so well
