ZAC EFRON SHOWS HIS TALENT
Category: No Category
This is the film that will elevate Zac Efron from High School Musical and teenage pin up hottie. His success in High School musical has been phenomenal and turning down the lead in the remake of Footloose, that he thought was more High School Musical, he turned up in this amazing looking film. I predict a stellar performance that will get him more adult roles breaking away from the teen market. Smart lad!
Me and Orson Welles is a coming-of-age story set in the heady world of New York theatre. Efron plays a teenage student who lucks his way into a minor role in the 1937 Mercury Theatre production of "Julius Caesar," directed by 22-year-old genius Orson Welles. In the words of Kaplow's protagonist: "This is the story of one week in my life. I was seventeen. It was the week I slept in Orson Welles's pajamas. It was the week I fell in love..."
Christian McKay also looks like delivering a nominatable performance and I am thoroughly looking forward to see this. I think the box office will be better than expected on this one thanks to the teenage magnet known as Efron. Normally I would say this film will make mediocre box office returns but critical acclaim but starring Efron I think a lot of teenagers will be watching this one and may actually learn something besides "Zac's hot". Bring it on I say
